I was looking for my BB and I've been sealed curious how they work. It's like … incredible … LOL Yes, I am easily surprised …
All bearings are basically the same, you have a career in interior and exterior. Among the races are good where the balls or needles of residence. Bearing seals, if used, maintain a seal to keep contaminants from entering the bearing. Having sealed bearings does not mean There are mant. ever, that only last longer in most applications due to less pollution, the bearing grease or oil still break down over time (depending heat and load) that need to be removed seals and grease / oil to be washed and replaced. Now, the bearings used in bicycles are normally replaced when worn out or need service, but in industrial applications where bearings can cost over $ 1,000 will receive a regular service and re-created at least damaged.
