best drugstore mineral powder for pale skin?

being of Swedish descent, I have extremely fair skin. I’ve found that regular liquid face makeup (from basic run-of-the-mill to supposed “blendable” kinds) tend to cake or look too dark.

I’ve recently had some decent luck with CoverGirl TRUblend whipped foundation, but I’m looking to try something even less dense

I have minimal imperfections and overall normal skin (maybe even a little on the dry side from time to time), so I’m not looking for any heavy-duty coverage or concealing elements.

I guess I’m interested in finding a powder that will create a more finished, smoother look.

any tips for blushes/bronzers are also welcome!

I should probably also mention that I have blue eyes and dark brown/soft black hair.

Try BareMinerals from Escentuals. Its not heavy and offers good coverage and blending. I have the same problem you do being from the same decent, but they have all different shades to buy in so I’d recommend the starter kit ($60). It comes with two mineral foundations, a bronzer, and a mineral veil for the finishing look along with 3 different brushes. Works great and you can barely notice your wearing make up; its also great for the skin too.
